Istana Jahar, located in the heart of Kota Bharu, Kelantan, is a historical landmark that currently serves as the Muzium Adat Istiadat Diraja Kelantan (Kelantan Royal Traditions and Customs Museum). Completed in 1887 under the reign of Sultan Muhammad II, this former royal residence was built for his grandson, Long Kundur Bendahara. Renowned for its exquisite, intricate Kelantanese wood carvings and tropical hardwood construction, the building stands as one of the best-preserved examples of traditional Malay architecture in the region.
